Last Updated: 8 August 2024
Atrial Flutter
Atrial flutter is a common cardiac arrhythmia characterised by rapid, irregular heartbeats in the atria. Atrial flutter is more organised and less chaotic than in Atrial Fibrillation. Often resulting from conditions like hypertension or coronary artery disease, atrial flutter can cause palpitations, shortness of breath, and dizziness. Diagnosis typically involves an ECG, and treatment may include medications, electrical cardioversion, or ablation therapy.
