Avascular Necrosis
Avascular necrosis occurs when bone tissue dies due to a lack of blood supply. Common in the hip, it can lead to joint pain and limited movement. Risk factors include trauma, steroid use, and alcoholism. Early diagnosis and treatment, such as medications or surgery, are vital to prevent bone collapse.
