Bursitis

Bursitis is the inflammation of the bursae, small fluid-filled sacs that cushion bones, tendons, and muscles. Commonly affecting shoulders, elbows, and hips, bursitis can cause pain and restricted movement. Treatment includes rest, ice, and anti-inflammatory medications. At times antibiotics are needed. Chronic bursitis may require physiotherapy or surgery to manage symptoms.
