Coeliac Disease is an autoimmune disorder where ingestion of gluten leads to damage in the small intestine. Symptoms include diarrhoea, bloating, and weight loss. Strict adherence to a gluten-free diet is essential for management. Coeliac Disease affects about 1% of the population and can be diagnosed through blood tests and biopsy.
