Charcot Marie Tooth Disease is a hereditary neurological disorder affecting peripheral nerves. Symptoms include muscle weakness, atrophy, and sensory loss, primarily in the extremities. It results from mutations in genes responsible for producing proteins essential for nerve function. Diagnosis involves clinical examination, genetic testing, and electrophysiological studies.
