Cholera
Cholera is an acute diarrhoeal illness caused by ingestion of food or water contaminated with the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. Common in areas with inadequate sanitation, cholera can lead to severe dehydration and death if untreated. Prevention includes clean water, proper sanitation, and oral rehydration solutions.
