Creatine Kinase
Creatine kinase is an enzyme which plays an important role in energy production in muscle cells. Elevated levels of creatine kinase in blood tests can indicate muscle damage or disorders, such as muscular dystrophy, rhabdomyolysis or heart attack. Creatine kinase measurement is a standard diagnostic tool in neurology and cardiology to assess muscle health and functionality.
