EBV
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a common herpesvirus responsible for infectious mononucleosis. EBV primarily spreads through saliva and can lead to fatigue, fever, sore throat, and swollen lymph nodes. Most individuals contract EBV during childhood. While it generally remains dormant, EBV can reactivate and may be linked to certain cancers and autoimmune conditions.
