Epstein Barr
Epstein Barr virus, a member of the herpesvirus family, is responsible for infectious mononucleosis. It spreads through bodily fluids, primarily saliva. Symptoms include fever, sore throat, and swollen lymph nodes. Most people become infected during childhood. Epstein Barr is linked to certain cancers and autoimmune diseases.
