Esophagitis
Esophagitis is inflammation of the oesophagus, the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach. Causes include acid reflux, infections, allergens, and certain medications. Symptoms of esophagitis can be painful swallowing, heartburn, and chest pain. Proper diagnosis and treatment of esophagitis are essential to prevent complications.
