Hypothermia
Hypothermia occurs when the body’s core temperature drops below 35°C (95°F). Symptoms include shivering, confusion, and slurred speech. Hypothermia can result from prolonged exposure to cold weather or immersion in cold water. Immediate medical intervention is essential to prevent severe complications, or death. Hypothermia is a medical emergency.
