Laron syndrome, also known as growth hormone insensitivity, is a rare genetic disorder. It results from mutations in the growth hormone receptor (GHR) gene, leading to short stature and other health issues due to the body's inability to utilise growth hormone effectively. Affected individuals often display distinct facial features and obesity.
