Lewy Body Dementia
Lewy Body Dementia is a progressive neurological disorder affecting thinking, movement, behaviour, and mood. It is characterised by abnormal deposits of alpha-synuclein protein, called Lewy bodies, in the brain. Symptoms of Lewy Body Dementia include cognitive decline, visual hallucinations, Parkinsonian symptoms, and dysautonomia. Diagnosis requires a thorough medical evaluation and neuroimaging.
