Ovaries

Ovaries are female reproductive organs located on each side of the uterus. They produce eggs and secrete hormones such as oestrogen and progesterone. Each ovary releases an egg during ovulation, a key process in the menstrual cycle. Ovaries also maintain the female secondary sexual characteristics. Ovarian health is critical for fertility.
