Rickets
Rickets is a childhood bone disorder caused by a deficiency of vitamin D, calcium, or phosphate. It leads to softening and weakening of the bones, often resulting in skeletal deformities. Prevention includes adequate intake of vitamin D and calcium, as well as sufficient sun exposure. Rickets primarily affects children aged 6 to 24 months.
