Rotavirus

Rotavirus is a contagious virus causing gastroenteritis, commonly affecting infants and young children. Symptoms include severe diarrhoea, vomiting, fever, and abdominal pain. Vaccination is available and effective in prevention. Spread primarily through faecal-oral route, practicing good hygiene is crucial in controlling rotavirus transmission. Hospitalisation may be required in severe cases.
