Stye
A stye is a bacterial infection causing a red, swollen lump on the edge of the eyelid. Commonly due to Staphylococcus bacteria, a stye is typically painful and may produce pus. Treatment includes warm compresses and, if necessary, antibiotic ointments. A stye usually resolves within a week.
