Uterus

The uterus, a hollow muscular organ in the female pelvis, supports fetal development during pregnancy. Attached to the ovaries via fallopian tubes, the uterus undergoes monthly cycles of growth and shedding. Essential for reproduction, it also plays a role in menstruation.
