Warts are benign skin growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). They typically appear on hands, feet, and other skin surfaces. Highly contagious, warts spread through direct contact with infected skin or surfaces. Treatments include topical medications, cryotherapy, and surgical removal. Proper hygiene helps prevent the spread of warts.
