Dr Sarah Wright (MBChB, DRCOG, DFSRH DPD) qualified from Leeds University in 2001 and then went on to pursue GP training in Birmingham, qualifying with a distinction in 2006. Dr Wright has over 15 years of experience working in both NHS and private General Practice and has special interests in women’s health and dermatology. She holds the Diploma for family planning and sexual health and also fits coils and implants for contraceptive care. Helping people with menopause care is something she also finds very rewarding.

Rakhee went on to work as an NHS GP partner in West London.

Mr Jonathan Fussey is a consultant ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon based in one of the UK’s busiest ENT departments at the University Hospitals Birmingham Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He Graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School with honours in 2010, and subsequently worked in hospitals throughout the West Midlands, gaining experience in general, plastic, cardiothoracic and ENT surgery and obtaining his Diploma of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery before embarking upon higher surgical training in ENT/head and neck surgery in Birmingham. During this time, he developed an interest in head and neck surgery, treating cancers and benign conditions of the throat, salivary glands and thyroid gland, and took time out of clinical training to complete doctoral research on thyroid cancer resulting in the award of Doctor of Medicine (MD).

He qualified from Khyber Medical College with a gold medal and won President of Pakistan award. He has more than 30 years’ experience in Paediatrics. He started his paediatric training in 1987 in paediatric unit in Lady Reading Hospital/Postgraduate Medical Institute (LRH/PGMI) in Pakistan. It gave him a wide range of clinical experience. He passed DCH (diploma) and MCPS (membership) examinations; completed his research dissertation and managed to publish few papers. He presented work on meningococcal meningitis in an international conference in Pakistan and the same work was presented by Professor M Imran in International Conference in Paris, France.

He has worked within the NHS, the independent sector and internationally. He completed his training in Psychiatry and worked within the Norfolk and Suffolk mental health Trust before and started his career as a consultant psychiatrist in the UK. He has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2008 and keeps his knowledge and skills in the field up to date. He follows the national guidance for assessment and management of psychiatric problems.

I am Dr Deepak Parasuraman, a Consultant Paediatrician. I answer to either name and my favorite memory is when a little patient called me "Dr D". I enjoy being a children's doctor and I am passionate about the care children receive and about services for children. I led the children's services provided by University Hospitals BIrmingham, as the Clinical Services Lead, through COVID-19 until recently (December 2022). I believe care and support should be seamless and worry free and that it should be available when needed. WIth this in mind, my private practice will not just be medicine but also appropriate systems to support the child and family.

He qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, London in 1996. He then undertook basic surgical training at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Essex followed a period of research for a Master of Surgery degree at Royal Free Hospital in London. He presented and published extensively from this. Professor Tiwari received specialist registrar training in London and Essex in both general and vascular surgery. During this time he undertook a one year Vascular fellowship at the prestigious Westmead Vascular Unit in Sydney, Australia where he learnt endovascular techniques to allow the treatment of patients using minimally invasive methods including angioplasty and Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR). He worked as a locum consultant in the vascular unit at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.
